Urban Forest Creation
Incredible pictures coming in from Kim Lake who are on site today at our first Soil Prep day at Gaelscoil an Chuilinn in Dublin 15.
π₯ This is the first stage of us creating an urban woodland, in six months time we will return to the site to plant over five hundred native trees and shrubs. πΈ
π€ Great to see our impact partners Brennans Bakeries on site for a morning of corporate volunteering. Fantastic to have one of Ireland's most iconic brands getting stuck in and making a real impact on biodiversity loss and climate change! π
πΈ This forest has been lead funded by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Communities with special thanks to Joanne Reynolds, Brendan Cannon and Mark Craven for all your hard work to make this happen.
π A big thank you also to all the individual volunteers who are giving up their time to make this happen, we cannot do it without you! You all looked great in your new visi-vests! π
π A big thank you also to ShoeRack for supplying us with Cardboard as part of the soil preparation methodology.
π And a big shout out to the wonderful kids at Gaelscoil an Chuilinn for preparing all the card board on Friday to remove all plastics from it!
