Two of the Re:Sure (CoolPartner 013) team are sleeping out in aid of Focus Ireland
On Friday 14th of October, John McMahon and Emmet Hogan from RE:SURE | A Fortus Company will be sleeping out in Dublin for just one night to shine a light on homelessness in Ireland and raise vital funds for Focus Ireland.
Shine A Light Night, proudly supported by Bord Gáis Energy, is where business leaders, companies and individuals will sleep out in their workplace, home, or gardens for one night to shine a light on homelessness in Ireland. With the support of Bord Gáis Energy, the business community and the public, Focus Ireland aims to raise €1.5 million in 2022 to support families and children experiencing homelessness across the country.
As part of this John & Emmet from RE:SURE will be looking to raise money for this great cause. RE:SURE is one of Ireland and the UK’s leading CCTV monitoring stations. It’s a leader in the still-evolving space of CCTV monitoring, where they are innovatively leading the way with better solutions for both their install partners and their end users, as the pro-active remote security service becomes more widely available and adopted.
John McMahon, Managing Director of RE:SURE commented on the event by saying:
Homelessness figures surpassed 10,000, the highest figure recorded since before the pandemic due to a lack of affordable, secure housing in Ireland. Right now, there are 1,366 families, including 3,028 children without a home. Every kid deserves to grow up with a permanent roof over their heads as a basic right. For one of the richest countries in the world, this is more than a disappointing stain on us.
I would really appreciate it if all our customers, suppliers and my network at large could donate to my Shine A Light Night to help Focus Ireland support the thousands of families and children without a home in Ireland right now. Focus Ireland is a great charity that works tirelessly day in, day out to try and house families, and they, and I would appreciate every penny you can spare.
