Re-Visiting Cloudforest Three (3 Months After Planting Day)

Last week, the Cloudforests team took a trip to Cloudforests Three in Doonaha on the Loop Head Peninsula, in Clare. This trip was a chance to see how the site is progressing, just over 6 months since our inaugural planting day in February of this year. At our Planting Day, we brought almost 50 people from our first 20 CoolPartners to the Loop Head situated on the Wild Atlantic Way to plant over 600 trees purely for the planet.

The trip to Cloudforest Three was a resounding success and we managed to capture a huge amount of content from the site, with plenty of update pictures for all of our CoolPartners. These pieces of content will be shared with all of our partners in the coming days and weeks.

In general, all of our CoolPartners miniature forests were growing incredibly well, with numerous species like Oak, Rowan, and Alder shooting up all over the site. Along with this, there was plenty of re-wilding occurring wherever you looked, which is incredible news. One example of this re-wilding is our Cloudforest Three sign being consumed by beautiful shrubbery (see below). As well as this, the site was also bustling with life, with a wide array of beautiful critters including dragonflies, butterflies & plenty of stunning birds making themselves at home.
